The Care Campaign

The CARE campaign is a full marketing venture centered around increasing awareness of licensed care providers. CARE in itself is an acronym for Childcare Awareness Resources and Education the very issue or lack of that we are striving to overcome. Unfortunately, many parents place their children in the hands of care givers; who may not be suitable for the job. The licensing program seeks to create a baseline of trust to comfort parents as they entrust their most prized possessions with a person or agency.

In addition to increasing awareness of those who utilize this service, the program also seeks to raise awareness for individuals and agencies providing childcare. This two prong approach and the campaign supporting the endeavor are the brain child of the VDSS Public Affairs group. PSAs, videos, billboards. social media and web presences are the foundation of the venture. My primary contributions were to create the web presence and establish the brand identity. Working in tandem with our graphic designers, we created a concept for a website which I built out utilizing Bootstrap and Pure CSS frameworks. I also developed a brand logo for the campaign. Multiple iterations where created before one was selected for production. In the brand logo section below, I've showcased a few of these; the final selection is the one in black. Each variation is targeted towards a specific audience.

Sample full section site

In this iteration of the site, each section page is combined together to create a single long-scrolling page for the viewer to access. This was the original version of the site's design; however, after receiving feedback from our users, this design was abandoned and the multipage version below was developed.

Sample faux multipage site

This version of the site utilizes JavaScript and url variables to create a presentation which appears to be made of multiple pages per top level section. In reality, the site is identical to the long-scrolling site above; however, to the user it appears to be broken down further by subtopic area. This approach was created to reduce the overwhelming feeling that some users were experiencing upon viewing the full content of the page in the long-scrolling format. Additionally, some modifications to the site's design were applied as requested by the division. This version of the site was launched in late March.
